Three simple ideas shaping experiences that help teens grow into who they really are.

Why Mojo Village Exists

Teen life today is filled with pressure, performance, and distraction. Phones, school, and social media rarely leave room to breathe. We created Mojo Village to be a pattern-interrupter — a space where teens can unplug, get outdoors, and discover who they are without judgment.

Our purpose is simple: to give teens experiences that awaken their confidence, spark meaningful questions, and build lasting friendships.

What We Believe

At Mojo Village, everything we do is grounded in three principles:

Adventure

Growth happens when you don’t know exactly how something will turn out. Whether it’s rappelling down a cliff, team simulations, or kayaking across a lake, our adventures stretch teens in ways that build courage and resilience.

Inspiration

Elevate your soul through wonder, beauty, and big ideas—carefully designed to help you explore your purpose and possibility.

Connection

Real belonging comes when kids feel safe enough to be themselves. By creating a pressure-free, supportive environment, teens go from strangers to family in just a few days.

Our Approach

We don’t push kids. We don’t preach. Instead, we create an environment full of options: exciting adventures, meaningful prompts, and spaces where teens feel free to show up authentically.

“We turned from strangers to family.”

“I felt safe enough to share things I’d never said before.”

“I didn’t even miss my phone.”

“It’s reverse psychology. When leaders let you choose, you choose to do more.”

When teens feel safe, challenged, and inspired, they surprise themselves with what they’re capable of.

Meet Our Founders

Elizabeth Seeley

Passion for Connection

Elizabeth’s path weaves together social work, grief support, event planning, and outdoor adventure. She has guided teens through grief groups, facilitated healing conversations, and designed programs rooted in emotional safety.

Her passion is helping teens feel seen, understood, and resilient. As a therapist and mentor, she believes prevention is one of the best ways to support youth — by giving them safe spaces to grow before life’s challenges overwhelm them. Elizabeth tries to keep up with her three kids on the slopes, and the climbing wall, while also sneaking in a few pickleball matches each week. They make regular boba tea stops and love to try new restaurants together.

James Ure

Vision for Transformation

James has spent two decades creating transformative experiences for teens. After graduating law school, he co-founded one of the nation’s leading private schools, later earning recognition as one of the top five online teachers in the U.S. He has led outdoor expeditions, leadership programs, and camps where adventure, inspiration, and connection come alive.

He is also the author of Wayfinding: A Field Guide for Becoming Who You Are, a book for teens and young adults navigating identity, purpose, and belonging. James lives in southern Utah with his wife and four kids, where they adventure, travel, and build community together.

The Mojo Village Promise

We believe every teen deserves a place to step outside the noise, be themselves, and feel connected. That’s our promise:

You will feel safe to be you, explore, and grow.

Mojo Village is more than a camp — it’s a community of teens and mentors building something different. We’d love for you to be part of it.
