Teen Camp

Where teens find Adventure, Connection, and Themselves.

Be You. With Us.

Hey! Welcome to Teen Camp.

Four days in the mountains. No phones. No pressure. Just a chance to unplug, push limits, and discover who you are – alongside people who get it.

Mojo Moments: What Teens Say

We could tell you this camp is transformative, but it’s better to hear it from the teens themselves. Our trained guides — including licensed therapists — create a safe, supportive environment where kids can share honestly, connect deeply, and still have plenty of fun.

"It felt like family. I'd never talked about some of this stuff with anyone before." – Jaxon, 14

"It surprised me how deep we all got – sharing real things without judgment." – Summer, 15

What Makes Mojo Village Different

Most camps are about fun. Ours is about becoming.

At Mojo Village Teen Camp, every day blends three powerful elements:

Adventure

Rappelling cliffs, kayaking across alpine lakes, team challenges like the legendary Battle of Sunrock.

Inspiration

Guided journaling, solo time in nature, and meaningful discussions that help teens discover their inner compass.

Connection

From strangers to close friends in days, through spaces where vulnerability is met with support, not judgment.

The result? Teens leave with more than stories. They leave with confidence, perspective, and real friendships.

Why It Matters

It matters because teens need more than pressure and performance.

They need space to breathe, play, and belong.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a religious camp?

No. Mojo Village is values-based, but not dogmatic. Teens from all backgrounds feel welcomed here.

My teen doesn't know anyone – will they feel out of place?

Most teens come solo. Within a day, most say they feel like they've got new friends they can be themselves around.

What if my teen is nervous or introverted?

That's normal. We don't pressure kids. We create safe opportunities to connect at their own pace.

How safe are the adventure activities?

All activities are facilitated by trained guides with professional equipment and safety protocols.

Who are the camp counselors going to be? Are they safe people? Are they background checked?

Yes. All of our staff who will interact with you are background checked. Some of our counselors are trained therapists and others are just adults who love nature and are particularly gifted with teens. We're very mindful of our responsibility to keep kids physically and emotionally safe.

What outcomes can I expect?

Teens consistently report feeling more confident, connected, and understood. Parents often notice their teen comes home lighter, more open, and more grounded.

Will my teen get bored without a phone?

Unlikely. While there's no reception at camp, teens say it's refreshing to unplug and discover how much fun and creativity happens without screens.

What will my sleeping conditions be like?

You'll be sleeping in open bunk buildings called Adirondacks, or in group tents. You have the option to bring a personal tent if you are a very light sleeper or if you snore or have other conditions that may affect other sleepers.

What is the food like? What if I have dietary restrictions?

We know what teens love! Here are some foods you can expect to eat.

Breakfast: Waffles, Egg Sandwiches, Breakfast Burritos, French Toast or an Omelet Bar.

Lunch: Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Grilled Chicken Sandwiches, Carne Asada Taco bar, Brisket Sandwiches, Hoagies with sides such as fruit, chips and/or salad.

Dinner: Hawaiian Rice Bowls, Asian Stir-Fry, Korean BBQ, Meat Sauce Spaghetti all served along with tasty sides such as: rolls, salads, fruit, cole slaw and/or baked beans.

If you have dietary restrictions, you'll be prompted to provide this information when you complete the registration form. We will be able to accommodate most common dietary restrictions.

What clothing/gear do I need for the camp?

We've made a list with everything you need called the Gear Checklist. If you don't have something on the list, we encourage you to see if you can borrow it from friends or family. You'll need everything on the list so be sure you have it all!

What if I need to take medication during the camp?

If you need to take medication, you'll be responsible to administer it yourself during the camp. If this doesn't work for some reason, let us know and we'll try to find a solution. When you register, you'll be prompted to let us know about any medication issues so we know how to support you! We will have appropriate camp medical officers on site.

What's the shower and toilet situation?

There are port-a-potties around camp and you'll have access to warm, private showers. It's nothing fancy, but it's much better than pooping in the woods.

What will the weather be like? How should I pack?

We've timed our camp to hopefully miss both the cold and the mosquito seasons. July and August in the high Uintas are pretty moderate, with the high around 70 degrees and the low around 35. You should follow the Gear Checklist when you pack and be prepared with layers so you can warm up, cool down, and be ready in case we get some afternoon rain storms.

Can I bring a guitar?

Oh yeah! We'd love that.

How old do I have to be to register, and do you make exceptions?

You're invited to register if you're between the ages of fourteen and eighteen by the dates of the camp. Or, if you're nineteen when camp begins but you just graduated from high school, you can attend, too. But if you're thirteen or younger during the dates of the camp, we encourage you to get excited about next year!
